About Surfside

Surfside is a small Miami-Dade County beach town on the barrier island north of Miami Beach's North Beach neighborhood. The Tatum Brothers subdivided the land in the 1920s, and the town still has the compact, planned feel of an oceanfront municipality squeezed between the Atlantic and Biscayne Bay. Residents are served by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, but the daily identity is coastal: condos, hotels, compact blocks, beach access, and proximity to Bal Harbour and Miami Beach.
