Sutersville, PA

Tucked into the hills of Westmoreland County, Sutersville is a quiet riverfront borough along the Youghiogheny River. Life here moves at a relaxed pace, with steep neighborhood streets rolling down toward the water and a bridge connecting residents directly to neighboring Elizabeth Township across the river. It started out as a 19th-century ferry crossing, and that compact, waterside layout still defines the community today.

While the area has roots in western Pennsylvania's old coal and rail days, modern Sutersville is mostly a peaceful, residential retreat.
