About Sweetwater

Sweetwater is a city and the county seat of Nolan County, Texas, situated forty miles west of Abilene. Historically the site of Avenger Field where World War II Women Airforce Service Pilots trained and now acting as a major wind-power generation hub, the community of approximately 10,385 is served by the Sweetwater Independent School District.
