Tellico Village, TN

Tellico Village is an unincorporated planned community on Tellico Reservoir in Loudon County, southwest of Knoxville. It grew out of late-1960s planning ideas for the lakeshore, after the broader Timberlake concept gave way to a more residential resort-style community. The setting is the main story: water, wooded hills, golf courses, marinas, and retirees mixed with people who want lake access without being in Knoxville proper. Tellico Village feels polished and recreational, built around the reservoir more than a traditional town center.
