Teviston, CA

Teviston is a Tulare County community about three miles south of Pixley, a small Central Valley place set among the fields along Highway 99. Its place-name is easy to miss on the map, but the water system has made the community impossible to overlook: a broken pump in 2021 left residents without potable water, and the state later appointed an administrator to help fix the local system. Most of Teviston falls in the Earlimart and Delano school districts, with northern blocks in Tipton and Tulare districts. Teviston is the Valley in a water-and-field story.
