The Plains, OH

Located just a few minutes northwest of Athens, The Plains is a relaxed community of around 2,700 residents in southeastern Ohio. It offers a quiet, small-town atmosphere within easy reach of Ohio University. The area takes its name from the surrounding flat landscape, which is home to ancient Indigenous earthworks, including the preserved Wolf Plains mounds. Columbus Road makes commuting into town a breeze, and cyclists and walkers can hop directly onto the paved Hockhocking Adena Bikeway.
