Thomasville, GA

Thomasville is the county seat of Thomas County in southwest Georgia, founded in 1825. It is known for its historic downtown and especially for roses: the Thomasville Rose Garden at Cherokee Lake Park supports the city's annual Rose Festival. That gives the town a more distinctive civic personality than many county seats of similar size. Thomasville feels polished but still Southern and local, with brick storefronts, old homes, live oaks, schools, medical services, and a sense that the calendar still matters.
