Thousand Palms, CA

Thousand Palms is a census-designated place in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, California, bordering Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage. Known historically as 100 Palm Spring and later named Edom, the community of approximately 7,720 is home to the Thousand Palms Preserve, which protects the endangered Coachella Valley fringe-toed lizard and provides habitat for over one hundred bird species. Public education is served by the Palm Springs Unified School District.
