Tiki Gardens, HI

Tiki Gardens is an unincorporated community and census-designated place on the eastern side of Hawaii Island, within Hawaii County's Puna district. Its boundaries make the place easiest to understand: Orchidlands Estates lies to the north, Ainaloa to the south, and Hawaiian Acres to the west. These neighboring subdivisions form a patchwork of roads and residential lots across the island's lower eastern slopes, with Tiki Gardens occupying one defined piece of that larger Puna landscape.

The subdivision was established in 1962 and was first listed as a census-designated place before the 2020 census. That timing matters because Tiki Gardens has existed as a named place for decades, while its formal statistical boundary is comparatively recent. The community does not have a separate municipal government; Hawaii County supplies the wider civic framework. Tiki Gardens is a low-profile name on the Big Island map, but its position beside three neighboring subdivisions, its 1960s beginning, and its newer CDP status give it a clear local outline.
