Tiki Island is a laid-back waterfront community tucked into West Bay, located right along Interstate 45 just before the causeway to Galveston. Nearly every home here sits directly on a canal with a private boat slip, making it a favorite landing spot for boaters, anglers, and anyone who loves being on the water. Most houses are raised coastal properties with ground-level entertaining spaces and breezy upper decks, and neighbors often get around by golf cart along streets with tropical names like Tahiti, Kona, and Bora Bora.

For newcomers, the island is strictly residential, with local services handled by a small municipal government, local police, and a volunteer fire department. School zoning is split between Texas City and Hitchcock school districts depending on which side of the island you live on.
