About Tindall
Tindall took shape when the railroad reached the site in 1872; the former Neola station was renamed for Union Colonel Jacob A. Tindall, who died at Shiloh. The Grundy County city now sits along old U.S. 65 between Trenton and Spickard. MoDOT's city map shows a compact street grid beside the rail corridor, with a fire department and local streets branching from the highway. The town's postal era ended in 1967, yet the rail-and-road layout still provides the clearest guide to how Tindall connects to northern Grundy County.
