Tipton, CA

Tipton is a quiet agricultural community in California's southern San Joaquin Valley, home to around 2,800 people. Located right off Highway 99 in Tulare County, the town got its start in the 1870s when railroad construction briefly stopped here, earning it the early nickname "Tip Town" as the end of the line. Today, the town retains that small-footprint charm, framed by sprawling orchards, dairies, and wide-open valley skies.

Local children attend Tipton Elementary before heading to neighboring Tulare for high school. Daily life revolves around a handful of neighborhood markets, churches, and local farm businesses. For big grocery runs, specialty healthcare, and department stores, residents make the quick drive up Highway 99 to Tulare or Visalia.
