About Tok

Tok is a census-designated place in the Southeast Fairbanks Census Area of Alaska, lying on the flat alluvial plain of the Tanana Valley at the junction of the Alaska Highway and the Glenn Highway. The settlement began in 1942 as an Alaska Road Commission camp built to support construction of the Alaska Highway. Tok School, a K–12 campus in the Alaska Gateway School District, currently serves around two hundred students.
