About Town and Country

Town and Country maintains more than 60 acres of municipal parkland across four sites: Longview Farm Park, Drace Park, Preservation Park, and Town Square. Longview combines a farmhouse and reservable pavilion with a playground, lake, wooded paths, stables, and pasture. Its trails pass several kinds of public activity in one circuit: licensed catch-and-release fishing at the stocked lake, gardens maintained by a local garden club, and horses used by an equine-assisted therapy nonprofit. The city also schedules yoga, tennis lessons, children's camps, concerts, a Turkey Trot, a holiday boutique, and an art, wine, and music event through the parks. Each of the four sites has a pavilion and nearby restrooms, supporting both informal use and reserved gatherings. The July 2025 Census estimate placed Town and Country at 11,619 residents, 0.1 percent below the April 2020 estimate base.

Its housing and household measures are among the clearest facts for prospective residents. The housing stock was 86.5 percent owner-occupied during 2020 through 2024, and 88.4 percent of residents age one or older had remained in the same home for at least a year. Median owner-occupied value was $928,500, while median gross rent was $1,955. Adults age 65 or older accounted for 29.5 percent, and 75.9 percent of adults age 25 or older held at least a bachelor's degree. Median household income was $232,534 in 2024 dollars, the poverty rate was 1.7 percent, and the mean trip to work was 20.3 minutes.
