Trappe, MD

Trappe is a Talbot County town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, incorporated in 1827 under the name “The Trap” or “Trap town.” The name’s origin is still a local fork in the road: it may refer to wolf traps, or it may point to a Trappist monastery.
