Traskwood, AR

Traskwood is a quiet, rural community of roughly 500 residents at the southern end of Saline County. Sitting midway between Benton and Malvern just a short drive from Interstate 30, it offers an easy country setting while keeping daily commutes within reach. Local children attend schools in the Glen Rose School District, and residents head to nearby Benton or Hot Springs for shopping, dining, and everyday errands.

The town was founded in the 1870s around a depot on the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway, named after two railroad workers, Trask and Wood. By the 1920s, it had grown into a busy hub supported by local lumber and cotton, complete with general stores, a hotel, and mills. Trains still roll past the old rail corridor today, and Traskwood remains a peaceful, close-knit place to settle down with plenty of room to breathe.
