Troy, TN

Troy was founded in 1825 as the original county seat of Obion County, and the town still keeps that beginning in plain sight around its square. Davy Crockett was present when the site was laid out, a detail that gives the local origin story some Tennessee-sized color. Troy is also the geographic center of the county, with Troy HeadStart, Hillcrest Elementary, and Obion County Central High School on the town’s school map. The municipal community center and Trojan Park provide gathering spaces for events and rentals.
