Tunkhannock, PA

Tunkhannock is the county seat of Wyoming County, a borough incorporated in 1841 and set within the larger Scranton-Wilkes-Barre region. Its name comes from an Indigenous term that has been translated as 'meeting of the waters,' a fitting description for a place tied to Tunkhannock Creek and the North Branch Susquehanna landscape. The county courthouse sits at Courthouse Square, keeping government at the center of the borough's map.
