Uhland, TX

Uhland is a quiet, fast-growing community straddling Hays and Caldwell counties along State Highway 21. Originally settled by German farmers in the late 1800s and named after poet Ludwig Uhland, the town holds onto its historic charm through spots like the old schoolhouse, which now serves as City Hall and the community center. While it spent decades as a sleepy rural outpost along the historic El Camino Real, Uhland is quickly catching the attention of newcomers looking for room to breathe in Central Texas.
