Unalaska, AK

Unalaska is the main population center of the Aleutian Islands, spread across Unalaska Island and neighboring Amaknak Island. It includes Dutch Harbor, one of Alaska's most important working ports and a base for the Bering Sea crab fishery. The city also has World War II history, including Dutch Harbor Naval Operating Base and Fort Mears, now a National Historic Landmark. Remote, industrial, stormy, and global in its fishing connections, Unalaska is much bigger than its population number.
