University Heights is a small, quiet enclave of about 1,200 residents completely nestled within Iowa City. Originally developed in the 1920s, the neighborhood has a classic, tree-lined residential feel with charming older homes and a tight-knit community vibe. Its biggest draw is the location. You are right next door to the University of Iowa campus, the university hospitals, and Kinnick Stadium, making it an easy favorite for medical staff, faculty, and Hawkeye fans.

Though it maintains its own independent city council and police force, University Heights functions as a seamless extension of Iowa City.
