Upper Exeter, PA

Upper Exeter is a Luzerne County community on the west bank of the Susquehanna, about six miles north of Pittston. It sits along Pennsylvania Route 92 in Exeter Township, with the river doing most of the geographic storytelling. The wider township is part of the old Wyoming Valley, one of the earliest settled corners of the region, and the river corridor still keeps Upper Exeter tied to that history. This is northeastern Pennsylvania in a river-and-township shape, with Pittston a short drive south.
