Located along historic Route 66 about 35 miles northeast of Kingman, Valentine is a quiet desert community in northwestern Arizona. It offers a remote, spread-out rural lifestyle surrounded by open red-rock landscapes near the Hualapai Reservation. The area is best known for its peaceful, wide-open spaces and the landmark 1903 Truxton Canyon schoolhouse standing beside the old highway.
