Vernon is a tiny rural community tucked into the southern end of Rush Valley, roughly 35 miles south of Tooele along Highway 36. With fewer than 300 residents, it offers a level of quiet and open space that is getting harder to find anywhere near the Wasatch Front. While the community is home to a local elementary school, a park, and a post office, you will need to drive about 40 minutes north into Tooele for supermarkets, healthcare, and retail. That extra drive is a worthwhile trade-off for residents who value horse property, quiet nights, and the freedom of living well outside the busy suburban corridor.
