Villa Heights, VA

Villa Heights is a census-designated place in Henry County, Virginia, just outside the Martinsville area. The CDP covers about one square mile of land at roughly 735 feet, and the 2010 census counted 717 people. The name is easy to trip over: Virginia also has a Villa Heights historic house and a Villa Heights neighborhood in Roanoke, but this is the Henry County community in the Martinsville micropolitan area.

The place is part of a patchwork of Henry County settlements, with Martinsville and nearby Ridgeway providing the larger civic and commercial frame. Villa Heights first appeared as a CDP in the 2000 census, so its Census identity is newer than the roads and neighborhoods around it. That distinction matters locally.
