Voorheesville is a suburban village in the town of New Scotland, Albany County, New York, within the Albany metropolitan area. Named for nineteenth-century railroad attorney Alonzo B. Voorhees and featuring a rich history of agricultural patroon rebellions, the community of approximately 2,824 is served by the Voorheesville Central School District for public education.
