Walker is a city in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, situated approximately twenty miles east of Baton Rouge. Founded in 1825 by pioneer Michael Joseph Milton Jr. in the piney woods east of the Amite River, the community of approximately 6,390 is served by the Livingston Parish Public Schools district for public primary and secondary education.
