Washington, NC

Washington is a city and the county seat of Beaufort County, North Carolina, situated on the northern bank of the Pamlico River. Established in 1776, the community of approximately 9,726 is home to the North Carolina Estuarium and the North Market Street Historic District. Public education is administered by Beaufort County Schools.
