Washingtonville, NY

Washingtonville is a village in the town of Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York, named in honor of George Washington. Settled in 1731 along Moodna Creek, the community of approximately 5,707 is home to a memorial dedicated to firefighters lost in the September 11 attacks. Public education is served by the Washingtonville Central School District.
