Wasola, MO

Wasola is an Ozark County CDP at the junction of Missouri Routes 5 and 95, just south of the Douglas County line. Its post office dates to 1914, and a 1925 store stood about 100 yards from the post office along Route 5. The town's map still turns on that highway meeting point: Route 5 passes the postal site, and Route 95 joins it at Wasola. Mail service, a roadside store, and county-line travel have shaped the community's compact form.
