Waveland, IN

Located in the southwest corner of Montgomery County, Waveland is a small, quiet community of around 500 residents. As the oldest town in the area, it has deep roots surrounded by scenic farmland and the winding waters of Little Raccoon Creek. Neighbors here have always looked out for one another. When the new school building was delayed back in 1912, locals simply held classes inside the Baptist church and two downtown storefronts so students could start the school year on time.

For prospective residents, the biggest draw is the peaceful lifestyle and quick access to the outdoors. Waveland sits right next to Shades State Park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve, putting forested ravines, sandstone bluffs, and quiet hiking trails right down the road. It offers the privacy and charm of rural Indiana, while still keeping you within a short drive of Crawfordsville for groceries, dining, and daily essentials.
