Waynesville is a town and the county seat of Haywood County, North Carolina, situated thirty miles southwest of Asheville between the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge mountains. Serving as the largest town in the state west of Asheville, the community of approximately 10,500 borders the Pisgah National Forest.
