About Wells Branch

Wells Branch is a census-designated place about 13 miles north of downtown Austin, in the fast-growing suburban corridor between Austin, Pflugerville, and Round Rock. The area was settled by Martin and Mary Emily Wells around 1827, giving the community a local name with older roots than its modern subdivisions suggest. Today Wells Branch is split between Pflugerville and Round Rock school districts, with daily life shaped by parks, commuter roads, apartments, and access to north Austin jobs.
