Westhampton, NY

Westhampton is a South Shore Long Island community in the town of Southampton, closely tied to Westhampton Beach and the western Hamptons. Westhampton Beach village incorporated in 1928, and the surrounding area shares the same mix of summer homes, year-round neighborhoods, small businesses, and access to barrier beaches. The school district and village services make Westhampton Beach the local center of gravity. Westhampton feels quieter than the better-known Hamptons farther east, but it still carries the coastal, seasonal rhythm of eastern Suffolk County.
