Westmere, NY

Westmere is a residential hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Guilderland, Albany County, New York, serving as a western suburb of the city of Albany. Bisected by U.S. Route 20, historically known as the Great Western Turnpike established in 1799, the community of approximately 8,300 developed as a suburban extension of the state capital. Public education is provided by the Guilderland Central School District.
