Weston, CO

Weston is a Las Animas County CDP in the Purgatoire River valley, near the South Fork, with Colorado State Highway 12 running between Trinidad and Stonewall Gap. The community's post office began in 1889, after the earlier Cordova office was renamed Weston. The surrounding valley carries the layered settlement history of Vigil Plaza and other villages along the Purgatoire. Weston remains a small river corridor community defined by the highway, the watercourse, and the Spanish Peaks landscape.
