Westphalia, MD

Westphalia is a census-designated place in Prince George's County, east of the Capital Beltway and north of Maryland Route 4. It is a newer census-defined community, with growth tied to suburban development, schools, and its position between Washington, Andrews Air Force Base, and Upper Marlboro. Westphalia is mostly residential, with planned neighborhoods and commuter access doing more to define it than an old downtown. It feels like a developing Washington-area suburb still taking shape.
