Westwood, NJ

Westwood is a Bergen County borough in the Pascack Valley, with a compact downtown and rail access that give it more of a center than many nearby suburbs. The area was once inhabited by Lenni-Lenape people before later European settlement reshaped the valley. Today Westwood has shops, restaurants, parks, schools, and commuter ties to New York City. It feels like a classic North Jersey borough: residential and suburban, but with enough downtown life to stand apart from purely bedroom communities.
