Westwood Shores, TX

Westwood Shores is a Trinity County census-designated place organized around the shoreline of Lake Livingston. The property owners’ association describes it as a lakeside development with nine interior lakes, a marina and launch ramp, clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, and an 18-hole golf course. That gives the place a very different shape from a town that grew around a courthouse or railroad: the lake and association amenities are the map. Westwood Shores is an East Texas development with houses and recreation arranged around water, not a traditional main street.
