Whispering Pines, NC

Whispering Pines is a village in Moore County, North Carolina, situated in east-central Moore County on the western edge of the Sandhills region. Bordered to the southwest by the town of Southern Pines, the community of approximately 5,200 features Thagard's Lake, an impoundment on the Little River, and is surrounded by the golf courses and pinelands characteristic of the Pinehurst area. Public education is administered by Moore County Schools.
