White Pine, TN

Sitting about 40 miles east of Knoxville, White Pine is a quiet town of around 2,500 people tucked into the rolling hills of East Tennessee. It borders the shores of Douglas Lake, giving residents quick access to boating, fishing, and peaceful waterfront views. Because the town sits right along Interstate 81 where Jefferson and Hamblen counties meet, getting around the region is straightforward, whether you are commuting toward Morristown or heading south toward the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Even with its slow-paced rural feel, White Pine gets a steady dose of excitement from the Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center. The large arena hosts everything from horse shows and rodeos to concerts and trade expos throughout the year. For families, younger students attend White Pine School right in town before heading over to neighboring Dandridge for high school, with Lakeway Christian Academy offering an additional local option. With its scenic countryside, easy highway access, and lakeside convenience, it makes for a comfortable and practical home base.
