About Whitehouse

Whitehouse is a city in Smith County, Texas, located just southeast of Tyler as part of the Tyler metropolitan area. Named in 1845 and officially incorporated in 1953, the community of approximately 9,122 has grown steadily as a residential suburb with extra-territorial jurisdiction extending to the shores of Lake Tyler. Public education is administered by the Whitehouse Independent School District.
