Wilton, ND

Wilton got its start at the turn of the twentieth century when the railroad pushed into northern Burleigh County, quickly turning the area into a bustling coal town. Ukrainian immigrants and settlers from across the country moved in to work the mines and farm the prairie, building the foundation for a close community. You can still see pieces of that heritage around town today, from the preserved rail depot museum to the distinctive onion domes of the historic local churches.
