Winamac, IN

Winamac is the Pulaski County seat in north-central Indiana, on the Tippecanoe River. The 2020 census counted 2,318 residents. The town was selected as county seat in 1839 and incorporated in 1868, and its old courthouse-center role still connects it to the surrounding farming county. The local landmark is the Swinging Bridge, a large suspension bridge over the Tippecanoe. Winamac Town Park puts the river-town routine into one place with a walking trail, playground, courts, picnic tables, and rentable shelters. The river also gives the town its seasonal texture, from changing water levels and bridges to the open space along its banks.
