Winters, TX

Winters sits at the junction of U.S. 83 and Farm Roads 53 and 1770 in north-central Runnels County, a crossroads between Abilene and San Angelo. The settlement began near Bluff Creek Valley, where Bell families lived southwest of the present town, and took shape as local boosters pushed for a community along the road and rail network.
