Wollochet is a census-designated place in Pierce County, on the Gig Harbor peninsula. It is mostly residential, with wooded roads, schools nearby, and access to the bays and inlets that shape this side of Puget Sound. The community does not have the same tourism identity as downtown Gig Harbor, but it benefits from the same broader setting: water close by, Tacoma across the Narrows, and a quieter suburban-rural feel. Wollochet is best understood as a leafy residential pocket on the peninsula.
