About Woodfin

Woodfin is a town in Buncombe County, North Carolina, located along the French Broad River immediately north of Asheville. Part of the Asheville metropolitan area, the community of approximately 8,000 is named after historic North Carolina statesman Nicholas Washington Woodfin. The town has deep manufacturing roots, with much of the remaining early housing stock characteristic of early 20th century mill villages.
