Woodland Park, CO

Woodland Park is a Teller County city west of Colorado Springs, set high in the mountains with close views of Pikes Peak. It began in the 1880s under names such as Manitou Park and Belmont before taking the Woodland Park name, which still fits the forested setting. The city functions as both a mountain community and a practical service center, with local schools, parks such as Bergstrom Park, and access to hiking, camping, and nearby recreation. It feels connected to Colorado Springs, but distinctly higher, cooler, and more outdoors-oriented.
