About Wrightwood

Wrightwood is a census-designated place in San Bernardino County, California, situated in a pine-covered valley of the San Gabriel Mountains at an elevation of 6,208 feet, approximately seventy-seven miles northeast of Los Angeles. The community of approximately 5,100 lies on the Pacific Crest Trail and developed from cattle ranches established in the nineteenth century into a residential community by the 1920s. Public education is administered by the Snowline Joint Unified School District.
