About Wrigley
Wrigley is a Hickman County census-designated place with 257 residents and 128 housing units in the 2020 Census. James C. Warner and his sons built a blast furnace here after Warner purchased Hickman County land in 1880. During World War I, the U.S. government contracted with Bon Air to develop the industrial site and a company town. In June 1919 the community took the name Wrigley after William Wrigley Jr., a major Bon Air stockholder. Worker housing, a school, church, commissary, and post office formed the town’s early civic footprint. The Census boundary covers 2,475,222 square meters of land.
